The Coalition of Muslim Women KW (CMW) is a non-profit organization that works to empower Muslim women and girls to be leaders and change makers. 

2022 Kindred Radiant Ladies Night Gala

This fundraiser for the Coalition of Muslim Women Kitchener-Waterloo is being held on the 29th of October at St George Banquet Hall. The 6th annual ladies-only event includes dinner, silent auction, and dancing. The event gives women from all cultural backgrounds a chance to connect within the larger community and make friends while having lots and lots of fun. It's all about bringing together a community that values inclusion and diversity.

K-W Unity Mosque

K-W Unity Mosque is a welcoming safe space where Muslims and non-Muslims seeking an inclusive, gender equal and LGBTQ2IA+ affirming experience can come together in prayer and community.

"Free Trip to Egypt" Film Screening

On November 1st, the K-W Unity Mosque will be hosting a film screening of Free Trip to Egypt at the Princess Twin Cinema, followed by a discussion with the filmmaker Tarek Mounib. Can two diverse and often hostile cultures come together in harmony through the transforming power of human connection? This is the question that Free Trip to Egypt poses, as it takes viewers on a quest to discover if kindness and shared humanity can overcome hatred, fear, and racism.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Sanctuary Refugee Health Centre.

Muslim Association of Canada

The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) is a Canadian charitable organization and a grassroots social movement that focuses on serving Canadians by educating and motivating Muslims to put their faith into action for the benefit of everyone. MAC Waterloo is their local chapter.

Salaam Canada
Salaam Canada is a volunteer-run national organization dedicated to creating space for people who identify as both Muslim and queer and/or trans.
Reporting Hate
This previous April, the Coalition of Muslim Women KW launched a system where folks can report local hate incidents for them to be documented. The website reportinghate.ca is a space to report and document incidents of hate and discrimination motivated by Islamophobia, Racism, and/or Xenophobia within the Waterloo Region and surrounding areas.
